Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Your A330 is not compatible with the XD cards that start with an "H" or a "M" before the XD designation, unless you perform a firmware upgrade. You can do it yourself using this link from Fuji Canada. http://www.fujifilm.ca/x13573.xml

If your new card has the letter "H" or "M" on it, your A330 isn't compatible with it unless a "firmware" upgrade is performed on the camera. Here's a link to the process, which you can do by following the steps.

SOURCE: I own a fuji finepix

The camera is designed to accept up to a 512mb card. However, it can accept up to 2gb if you go to the support section of the Fuji website and download the firmware upgrade for your camera. Just be sure to follow the upgrade directions perfectly or you could end up with a dead camera. Don't worry, if you follow the directions, everything will be ok.

HOW DO YOU INITIALIZE PICTURE CARD FOR A FUJI FINEPIX A330 CAMERA

"initialize" means to format the card in the camera. This will erase it so download any pics first using a card reader if necessary. Then, with the card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" or "initialize" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Where can I get a replacement usb cable from for my a 330 camera

The partnumber for the cable is FZ05266-200Maybe this will make it easier to find? Otherwize, concider purchasing an external USB card reader. Make sure it can read all types of XD cards. If it also can read SD/HC cards, you can use it for future cameras as well. A card reader is cheaper than the cable.

Fuji finepix usb cord

You can check on Fuji.com. It could be a proprietary cable.

Some cameras use what is called a USB D plug. It has regular usb end on one side and a small d shaped end on the other. If that is the cable you need, most electronic stores carry those.
