The batteries that power the 600 format cameras are in the film pack, not in the camera. When you insert a new film pack, you're installing new batteries at the same time. hope this helped

there is no battery in the camera. the battery comes from the film. the film has a battery in it already. you MUST have film in the camera for the light to go on and the flash to go off. all polaroid camera's are the same. you must have the film in the camera for it to work.

SOURCE: polaroid one 600 instant camera how to change

Change the photo pack. That's where the battery is located, you get a fresh battery with every pack.

Note that all remaining photo packs are now beyond their expiry dates as production ceased last year so many will have flat batteries or batteries with insufficient charge to last for the full ten shots. There's no fix for this: all that can be done is to rig up an external battery pack but there is no standard kit for this so it's very much a DIY project. the camera draws 4.5v and the standard battery was 6v when freshly manufactured.

Can I get user manual for Nikon MB-40 multi-power battery pack for F6 body?

I think the extent of the instructions is on the Nikon USA web site. Here it is

"The Nikon MB-40 Multi-Power Battery Pack accommodates eight AA (alkaline, lithium, or Ni-MH) batteries, or the Nikon EN-EL4 Rechargeable Li-ion Battery. The MS-40 Battery Holder comes with the MB-40. With the MB-40 attached, film can be advanced as fast as 8 fps.
When using the EN-EL4 battery, the Battery-Chamber Cover BL-3 must be used.
The MB-40 is also a vertical grip, and features a vertical grip shutter release, an AF start button, and Multi-selector and Command Dials for more comfortable and responsive shooting."

Charge indicator

Perhaps you want to charge via a USB connector on your PC. Could be the PC connections are not correct for delivering 5V on that connector.
The manual also says:
Connect the camera directly to the computer; do not use a USB hub or keyboard.
Please try to charge via the external charger that came with the camera. If that fails too, please try to replace the USB cable.

Hi, I am looking for a battery for my old, 1970's, Olmpus OM-1 manual camera. Camera still works fine but battery needs replacement. Thank you, Richard Sherman

The OM-1 uses a single 1.35 volt alkaline or mercury battery (Eveready or UCAR EXP625, Mallory PX625, or equivalent). You should be able to find this battery at an electronics or an office-supply store. One online source is

No these camera do not have batteries. The battery comes within the film packet, which I might add are quite expensive these days. If you would like some places to get film just use the comment button and I'll help you with that too.

Thanks for using Fixya.

PS. Your best bet might be to consider selling them on ebay. Some collectors out there may be interested if they are in as good a condition as you say.

On the lcd it shows "E" "E 9" and I do not know what this means and the camera will not work. What needs to be done

This question has been answered repeatedly. Pentax error codes are mostly for camera repair technician diagnosis and most of the time mean the camera is broken and needs professional servicing. Some Pentax Error Codes:
E: "E" often indicates a film jam. This code can appear when the film is inserted incorrectly, when the batteries are changed in the middle of a roll of film, if you are using defective film, etc. If "E" appears in your camera's information display, try to rewind your film manually (see your user's guide for instructions on how to activate your mid-roll rewind function), and try a different roll. If this problem keeps occurring, you might need to send the camera to us for repair.
E3, E7, E37: These codes often signal a problem with your shutter mechanism.
E9, E93-E97: These codes may indicate a problem with your zoom lens.
H0-H9: These H codes can also identify a problem with your camera's shutter.
U1-U9: These U codes may also indicate a problem with your camera's zoom lens.

These codes are standard for both Digital and film cameras.

Please rate our helpfulness to keep the service viable++++Thanks for using FIXYA

Could someone please tell me what battery is used for the Pentax ESPIO 738S shoot and point camera. I picked it up second hand and it has no manual or accessories. As far as i can tell it needs a lithium battery but i don't know which one or what size. Also if you know of anywhere i can get an electronic copy of the user manual that would be handy aswell.
Thanks for helping with my dilemma.

Try cleaning the contact inside the camera and the battery cap with a hard eraser. You need good contact for power from the batteries. The inside of the cap is usually the problem.
