Hello! We have a Sharp 32c231 TV. The other day we turned it on and the volume was extremely low. We have to turn the volume up to about 30 to hear anything (we would normally keep our volume at 17-21 depending on the show and channel). I went through the manual but couldn't find anything. I've unplugged the TV and plugged it back in and that didn't work. Any ideas? Thanks!

- That did it. I never thought of it being my cable box. Looks like my 5 y/o or 2 y/o was playing the settings because I found some other things off. Thank you so much!!!
If you are using a cable box with this set, the problem may be in the box settings. Try this: open the settings menu on the box . You may have to select"more settings" or something like that title to find the audio selections. Under the audio, you will find recording and viewing volume settings. put these to maximum and save. Your volume should now be more than adequate.

Was turning the main powerin the house on and off while doing some electrical repairs while TV was on.The TV (sharp 32'') was working fine that night but did notice a smallstrip at the top that was discolored. The next morning began to notice somefuzzyness in the picture. Within an hour the picture became increasingly worseand is now a consistent fuzzy picture. It seems that this was most likelycaused by the power surges from turning the electricity on and off. Can this berepaired or do you think it's cheaper to just go out and buy another $400-$500 TV??
