My ipod classic won't work with my Bose series 2 dock. It charges ok and works fine in my in car sys...
My new IPOD classic won't work with my new Bose Series 2 Dock. It charges OK but won't play music or be controlled by the Bose remote. I have checked the software and it is up to date. The IPOD port works fine on Itunes and I have tried a friend's older Ipod on my docking station and it works fine. I have swapped my docking station for a brand new one, believing that to be faulty, same problem. I have also tried my ipod on my friend's in car Bose system and it works fine, any ideas?

The only suggestion I have is to reset the ipod while it is in the docking station. That might resolve your issue.
Just in case you are unsure as to how to reset it, I have posted a step by step below.
Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
