Check audio connection in stereo & tv carefully it has to run if it is connected properly. you can check with headphone so you will come to know that socket is ok also check for wire also.

It sounds like you have a standard problem.
Is the TV you are using, that gives the black and white picture, the same as the other ie, both NTSC or PAL and both on RGB or Y-C or S-Video?
Check to see what is required and set the DVD player accordingly.

When i turn my plama tv on no picture appears. it than turns it self off and a red light continuously flashes 4 times


Hi jlkm00 i'm pretty sure you can fix it. this stuff usually happens with magnavox some time its juts the TV lamp or depending!

I have a 42mf230a/37 magnavox. no pic no sound. the red standbye light comes on but the tv has to be unplugged to turn off. the light used to turn green but now doesnt do that, it just clicks once when...


normaly the Plama as LCD TV , and the new LED Tech.dont have replace boards yet available on the market. This is a defective control board. All TV companys, dont have spares to sell, they say "Buy a newone".This TVs has 5 to 10 years timelife.

My phillips magnavox big screen tv model number 55p8288 doesnt have any sound when i turn it on


Check the audio setting to make sure the internal speakers aren't turned off. Check to see if it's set to use external speakers. If it is setup to run sound through an av receiver check all connections, make sure the receiver is on the correct input setting, and speaker wires.

Tv has an advertisement that wont go off


Press the up and down volume buttons on the TV at the same time. This will turn off demo mode.
