Question about Kenmore 60654 Microwave Oven
If you plug the microwave in it will power on for about 10 to 20 seconds. At that time you can even cook somthing, howerver it will shut down after that time, clock and everything, you hear a click come from it when it goes. Unplug for a while it will start back up. Any Ideas??
This may have already been dealt with, but others can benefit from an accurate, thoughtful reply to this problem.
Sounds like the magnetron may be overheating and tripping the thermostat mounted above the magnetron.
Both parts would have to be replace if this is the case.

Sounds like the problem is in the control board. Will be better off to buy a new microwave once you see the price of the board unless it it still under warranty. They come with one year from date of purchase.
