I have a Labtec multi media keyboard & mouse, MN Y-RAC66 & one MN Y-RB6.Neither have the "transmitter". Part no longer available from Labtec.

Is there somewhere else, or a generic, programmable modem?

    Thanks. I found one complete set onAmazon for $30.00, but these are old & it might go bad shortly as well. I want ot redcycle it if nothing else--it's just that the multimedia one is so nice, and new looking. Well it was for a good cause, Children's Home Society here in central FLorida.

Most of these are brand specific. If the unit is bluetooth (I don't think this is the case) , you can buy a dongle, no problem. If not, you can try to find a used on for sale. You can buy a basic wireless keyboard and mouse new for under $30.

1) Without the transmitter, you cannot use the 800 mouse or keyboard.

2) You need to have the dongle since it connects the computer and the keyboard. The dongle acts as an intermediate between the two devices.

3) Hence, do not try connecting the computer without the transmitter.

The light on the transmitter is no longer on, but if I put it close to my keyboard and mouse, they work fine..Is there a battery in the transmitter that controls the signal strength??
The light doesn't need to be on to work. the lights on the transmitter indecate if the number or cap lock is on or if the mouse or keyboard batteries are low.

I broke my transmitter. What can I do?
Hello

it is not worth the effort, go a buy a mouse, its going to cost you around 10 for a basic wire mouse. the time and effort to make your old one wired, its not worth it.

Labtec wireless Keboard and/or mouse problem
I was having the same problem and who knows it may pop up again... But what worked for me was moving the transmitter. I think the transmitter is crappy and super sensitive to interference. After i moved it away from my monitor the problem went away. I have only had it this way for a few hours though so no guarantees. But so far so good.
