Broken off end (camera end) of AC power adaptor (can't charge camera).

i have broken off the end of the cord which goes into the camera to charge it when the battery is getting low,(the other end goes into the wall socket.).this is a SONY camcorder DCR-TRV355E and the actual cord is called a AV power adaptor. Should i be able to easily get a replacement? does it have to be this specific one or would something else do? I am down here in New Zealand and today is Sunday, there is a Sony dealer here i think that i can contact tomorrow but i'll be stuck if they don't have anything, i need the camera for next weekend. cheers, john A
