Question about Computers & Internet
Hello I have an HP Pavillion and sometimes when the machine is on for a while when and goes into sleep mode, when I come back the keyboard wont respond. I can move the mouse, open programs, and the machine otherwise seems like its working, but the keyboard won't work. I have to restart the computer to get it to work again. Any leads on to why this happens would be great. It is a wired keyboard. Thanks
My suggestion to you is to do research into power saving settings. If its a usb keyboard, you may be able to find information on your usb power settings. If your able to find the settings part, there may be something that says "reduce power in power saving mode". This setting may even be in your bios...in fact, that would be the first place I'd look. The second would be my device panel. If you do find the setting, tell your usb to not save power. This may help. I'd also suggest to go onto hp's site and see if there are updated drivers for power saving modes especially if you have a ps/2 keyboard. Sometimes there are hotfixes that solve problems like these what are 'optional' downloads. If you still cant figure it out, let me know.
