Some bread machines warm the ingredients before starting. If your machine hasn't started within 30 minutes of you pushing the start button then your machine may be broken. google me at

yes, a good chance of a week motor. However, try using cooking oil, lard ect. to lubricate the mixer paddle from the bottom of the pan. Also check to make sure no debris at the same location is wrapped around the shaft. I have had to lubricate mine before as it seems to get stiff from time to time.

Recipes for b&d breadmaker model 2300

Knowing your breadmaker's loaf capacity will enable you to find recipes of any variety on the Internet for free.

It will also keep you from adding too much ingredients which could cause dough to over-rise and spill onto the heating element.

Remove your bread pan from your breadmaker. Using a one-cup 8-fluid-ounce liquid measure, fill your bread pan with water. As you do, count the number of cups it takes to fill your bread pan to the very rim.

Generally speaking...

If your bread pan holds 7 & 10 cups to the rim then you have a 1.0 lb or 500 g loaf pan

10 & 11 cups to fill = 1.5 lb (700 g) loaf pan

11 & 13 cups to fill = 2.0 lb (900 g) loaf pan

13 & 15 cups to fill = 2.5 lb (1250 g) loaf pan

15 & 17 cups to fill = 3.0 lb (1350 g) loaf pan

Generally speaking...

A bread recipe for use in a 1.0 lb (500 g) breadmaker should never exceed 2-1/4 total cups of flour.

1.5 lb (700 g) = 3-1/4 c

2.0 lb (900 g) = 4-1/4 c

2.5 lb (1250 g) = 5-1/4 c

3.0 lb (1300 g) = 6-1/4 c

Warning: When testing a new bread recipe it is always best that you not leave your breadmaker unattended. Stay close by to monitor its progress from time to time.

Kneading problem - lop-sided loaves

it is very imporant that you put the ingredients in the right order (water on the bottom, flour floating on top o it, yeast on the flour not touching the wwater). Also the amount of water is crucial.
The bread becomes evenly distributed during rise.
Rise problems might be due to improper kneading which in turn might be due to the pan jumping. Check that the pan is not jumping during kneading.

Hi,
Empty the bread pan and clean it out. Put the pan and paddle back in the machine but do not add ingredients. Start the bread cycle and look in the window (or lift the lid) during the mixing cycle. You should see the paddle spinning around.. If not you probably need a new belt.

I have the same model - here is one of the recipes in the booklet. I can send more if needed - just let me know. Also, the recipes on the back of bread flour bags work well with this model.

Traditional White Bread
1.5 pound loaf

1 cup water
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons dry milk
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons dry yeast

Measure and add liquid ingredients to bread pan.

Measure and add dry ingredients (EXCEPT YEAST) to bread pan.

Use finger to form a well in the flour to pour the yeast. Measure yeast and carefully pour it into the well - keep yeast away from liquid!

Snap pan into breadmaker and close lid.

Press "Select" button to choose Basic setting.

Press "Crust Color" button to choose crust.

Press "Start/Stop" button.

Regal ware k6751

Look at the box first. Many times it will have instructions on it. However sometimes it may not and have only the the dry ingredients. If the box has no instructions, see how many cups of flour the mix uses. If it uses 3 cups of flour total, the mix is for a 1 1/2 pound loaf. If the mix uses 2 cups of flour it will make a 1 pound loaf. Box missing this info? It's time to take the flour out of the box to measure it with at measuring cup. Mixes sometimes combine all the ingredients together so it will measure bit more than 3 cups for a 1 1/2 pound loaf or 2 cups for 1 pound loaf. After finding out how big the loaf is going to be then get the bread pan and instruction manual and start constructing the dough. I'd find the recipe in the manual that matches the mix the best to find out how much liquid to use. (for a classic whit its 1 cup for 1 1/2 pound leaf and 3/4 cup for 1 pound loaf) Then I put the liquid in the pan first along with butter (if necessary), followed by the dry ingredients in the mix with the yeast at the top. Put the pan into the bread machine and select 1 or 1 1/2 loaf or if it is a french or sweet bread. Press start. Unfortunately I have a different machine than you do, but I think this will help.
