Webcam works, but the screen rate is too slow to use it

-   I have the same problem,
Aspire One with windows XP.
But I think it might be due to low light processing. Ive tried it with different connections all slow, until one day we tried it DURING the day, with sunlight. The screen rate was much much faster, even though the Internet connection was slower than the previous attempts.
On other laptops people have said to turn off Low Light Boost, but I dont know how to do that on the Aspire One.
