Old HP Vectra VL600 sound
I had to do a full re-install of windows back on this system to get it running. I was using the drivers provided by hp.com & they worked. I slipped up and used the quickfix for the audio.
It did a half sound of the Microsoft intro & now doesn't play a thing. I tried uninstalling the drivers and reloading, but that is no use.
When I do run the install the system detects & shows an error: 69.
If any1 can help on this lemme know... I really don't want to install windows again, but if i have to I still have the starting drivers. :)

- As soon as I wrote it, I just reinstalled.. Only problem now is finding drivers for 2 board hardwares.PCI Ethernet and PCI Serial controllers.

- I reinstalled the operating system (XPwSp2) and now I when I go into the Device Manger; I have a big yellow question mark on the ethernet controller. How do I get the drives for this?- GuestBest Solution

Reisntalling windows will not help. It is one of the bugs in that version. You need the drivers if you dont have them try here for it.
