No sound on dvd recording

-   I have an HP Media Center PC w/ digital audio output feeding into my video card. The audio and video are then fed out of the video card via HDMI. I get audio when I play CDs, but I get no audio when I play DVDs even though I get great video. I also get sound from everything else including downloaded video and video games. I've tried everything and am at a complete loss.-   Rob711

-   Purchased a Nexxtech 20X dvd+/- r double layer drive. Burns dvd's, but cannot get any sound from the dvd's. When I play a CD, I can get sound from it; but nothing from dvd's.-   xargra

-   just installed a dvd+r/rw,dvd+r dl dvd ram and cd-r/rw video is fine but i dont have any audio. tried burning a dvd video is also fine but still no audio help pls.-   cfsamsom
