Question about iLO (2 GB) MP3 Player

1 Answer

Audio books I use my mp3 player to listen to books. When I power down, then turn back on later to continue listening, playback starts back at the beginning of the book. Is there any way to get it to pick up where it left off?

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Whilst listening to the audiobook in question, hold down the left arrow on the control pad (the area with buttons down the bottom. After holding this down for long enough, the audiobook should rewind.

Creative Zen V Plus Bookmarks

A little known feature on this player is the ability to use bookmarks, up to 10 of them. Many of you listen to podcasts or audio books which may be fairly lengthy and if you have to stop in the middle of what ever you're listening to, normally when you go back to your player you would have to start all over again.<br /><br />A note about <span style="font-style: italic;">"resuming playback":</span> If you shutdown during playback of a podcast or audio book (not pausing or stopping playback first) your Zen will automatically resume playback when you start it back up.<br /><br /><span style="font-weight: bold;">Zen V Plus Bookmarking</span><br /><br />You can insert bookmarks during playback. ZEN Xtra also supports bookmarks though you cannot place two or more bookmarks for one song or audio book<br /><br />

Fast forwarding for listening to books

I use a Creative Zen V Plus, but have a similar problem.

First, an explanation: the issue is probably with the timecode in the audio track. This can happen when the audio file is created on a computer. The audiobook was likely "ripped" to a file from the original audiobook CD, and your player may not like the format the file is in. The best solution in this case is to recreate the audio files yourself. First remove all of the files from your Sansa for that particular book. Then use CD-burning software on your computer to create an audio CD (not a data CD!) from the files you got from the library. Finally, use the software that came with your Sansa to transfer the audio CD back to your Sansa. This way you know you are getting a correct format on your player.

If you have an additional issue (like me) where the tracks are too long and go back to the beginning every time you turn your player off, you may have to use an audio editor such as Audacity to chop the long tracks up into smaller tracks, but this is quite time consuming. It is best to acquire audiobooks in smaller tracks in the first place. This is the problem I have been faced with while using Audible.com to listen to audiobooks.

Playback of audio files does not resume where I left off when powering back on

I have an e260. I use it for audiobooks a lot. I just press pause (centre top of the dial), and the track will resume from there next time (unless I go back to the main menu for radio of course.)

"Synchronize to continue your subscription"

To get rid of that message, you need to connect your Sansa to your computer and open the Rhapsody software to "deauthorize" your Sansa (assuming that you're not going to be using the Rhapsody service). The following URL gives you two options on how to deauthorize your device (look at the bottom section of the page): http://home.real.com/product/help/chandler/en/instruction/auth_deauth_pd-textonly.htm
