Roll pin broke off in steering shaft of snapper riding mower, too weak to knock it out

The roll pin in my snapper re riding mower broke off on both sides of the steering shaft, the pin is stuck inside the shaft, I used a punch to knock it out, but the punch broke off inside the shaft also, I am too weak to swing a hammer hard enough, any suggestions

SOURCE: snapper rear engine riding mower clutch

It is time to replace the driven wheel. When you flip the mower up on the back end (after closing the vent on the top of the fuel cap), the driven wheel is the disc that has rubber on the outer edge that rides on the silvery disc that comes off the end of the motor. The last time I bought one was about 7 years ago, at which time it cost me about $7.85. I would expect it to be around $11-12 these days.

SOURCE: Snapper Hi-Vac riding mower that won't start with starter

You may need a 300cca battery, an ignition switch or a solenoid to get things going again. I also would check to make sure the starter gear has not locked in the flywheel teeth; it will burn up the starter. You should be able to go to the snapper website and put your model of mower in and find the parts and diagrams you need.
Good Day.

How do I remove the steering wheel from my 13hp cox stockman mower, tried putting upward pressure while hitting shaft with dolly and hammer with no success

There appears to be a roll pin up under the steering wheel that holds it on the shaft. You will have to tap this out with a small punch or nail before you can remove the wheel.

My steering wheel just turns and the tires do not move. Am I missing a screw ?

provide it is a 3317524BVE then most likely it is a sheared or missing roll pin at the base of the steering wheel or the weld at tie rod has broken loose.

Friend's yard craft riding mower does not steer when steering wheel turns. What needs to be replaced or fixed?

Usually there is a gear on the bottom of the steering column. A roll pin or a cotter pin keeps it from spinning on the shaft. Check that linkage.

Why does my steering weel just pull right off the gear and come out of place im i missin something

Either you lost or broke the C-clip or roll pin that secures it. OVer time the roll pins wear and break. Look and see if its visible and if it is tuning the wheel should make tube below it to turn if not the pin is gone, replace it.
