Re: JVC KW-AVX706 front face problems

For ppl still having this problem.. more than likely the dash kit is to small and not allowing the radio to close properly. soulution: get one that fits, or get a dremel and shave down the plastic on the dash kit that prevents the radio from closing... hope this helps some1

I want to heek up my iphone to my jvc kw-avx706. i dont have a direct jack for it but i have an OE remote wire in the back coming out of my deck on the harness. what is that wire used for and is there a...

If the wire your referring to is blue/white it is to cut on external amplifiers. If you go to and type in your model number there is a pdf file for the manual on the right hand side about half way down, it will also show you what accessories for ipod control.

I have a jvc there any way i can hook my iphone up to it so i can listen to my ipod?? if so let me know please thank you

Hello, there are two options. You could use a mini jack and plug it into your headphone jack on your Ipod and plug the other end into the aux jack on the front of your JVC unit. However you would have to have access to the ipod to control tracks and it will not charge the ipod. Or you could purchase a ipod cable that would not only charge but you would be able to control the ipod from the JVC unit. The part # KSU30 sells it for 39.99.

I have installed a jvc kw-avx726 and i just want to no which wire from the the head unit is the handbrake wire and also what do i need to make and answer phone calls through my cd player This is a link to JVC support site where you can download the manual. However for a quick jump start. It is the LIGHT GREEN cable. Regarding the phone, reading the manual will be your best solution. Plus it is good to have a manual around. dreamsystems

JVC KW-AVX 800 "Position error"

Assuming that this is not a new install (the laser is secured with a long, thin brass screw when shipped, and this screw must be removed on installation), and the unit has worked before today, then we will troubleshoot from the "damage" perspective.

The laser isn't centering itself to start position.

This could be due to track binding (dust buildup) or just a hard jolt to the base (pothole?), but the first thing to try is a soft reset...and if that doesn't get it, then a hard-reset next.

*Assuming of course that one of the kids hasn't jammed something foreign into the slot and knocked the head happens quite often.

Soft reset:
Most models have a tiny, recessed "reset" button that you can press and hold for 5 seconds with a ball-point pen, located under the faceplate.
This will restore factory settings, and re-center the laser.

If the error returns, a Hard reset:

Disconnect the Positive(+) cable from the car battery for at least 30 seconds, and re-connect.
You will likely lose all saved stations on the radio, but this is a last-resort to avoid removing and opening the unit.

9 times out of 10 this will solve any digital errors, and will free sticky tracks better than half of the time.
