    I have a TRC-430 and am trying to connect it to a 120v to 12v regulated
    power supply. The power supply has + and - connections. The TRC-430 has
    a red, white, and black wire. Any suggestions how the connections from
    the TRC-430 to the power supply should happen??? I tried a few and got
    no power to the CB. Thanks!!!

Yes. White goes to ignition (switched 12VDC) Red goes to constant.

White wire goes to the battery, red to ignition and black to ground. For base station use, tie the red and white together.

How do I wire a tuner plus 3 mic to a vintage realistic trc 458 cb radio ?

Hi Carl, I found 2 different hook-ups so I will list them both. You can check them out according to the wire colors you have in the mic cord. First one and this may be for a turner mobile mic. ;
Turner
1- Shield & Red
2- N/C
3- Blue
4- White
5- Black
Yellow NC

This one is out of the Turner book but they did not list your radio exactly. This is the most popular hook-up for Realistic's.
Code E;
1-S
2- N/C
3- Bk
4- Wh
5- Red
Hope this helps, Mike

Radio shack cb radio trc-481 model no.:21-1550b. i need to know to hook up the wires to my truck

Red wire is the primary power, this can be hooked to a fuse in the fuse block that shuts off with the vehicle, such as the fan or windshield wipers, the white wire is the memory power, this should be hooked up to either the battery (not recommended as you will pick up alot of engine noise), or another fuse that has a constant flow of power...such as interior lights. Not that both red & white have an inline fuse of there own, anything over 2amps will cook the radio.
If interested in operating without the vehicle running, hook both to a fuse in the fuse panel that has a constant power flow, use the same fuse for both red & white, not going over 3amps MAX!
Black of course, is your ground.
*NOTE-any many radios, the better the ground, the less engine noise your radio will pickup, because alot will be flitered through to the ground. Best to run it to the body, for example the bolts that attach your seat to the body...put the wire between the bolt & the floor...this helps create a capacitor like ground.
