Problem for Microsoft Streets & Trips 2009 Full Version for PC
Microsoft streets and trips 2009 registry issues on vaio p588e/r
I just got this laptop last week. runs windows vista home premium. I activated streets and trips 2009 (pre installed) with the software key. I booted the program up and tried it out, everything worked fine.
tried using it again yesterday and got this error message "your registry settings for this application were not copied correctly. to correct these settings, run setup again for this application from the location where you originally installed it."
I've updated the gps drivers (per tech support from sony) which fixed nothing. I've uninstalled, cleaned the registry, defragged, and reinstalled, which also fixed nothing. I've searched around and have got no solid answers, nor any that make any sense to me (that work anyways)

Which I did and then got an error saying that file data.msi was missing- pomegranatep

I had the same problem with the registry and markiepaul's advice was very helpful. I did all that he said, but I had to set all users as "administrator" in the compatibily area and unchecked everything. Then S&T finally started and wanted the product code.
I must have installed and uninstalled 10 times, edited the registry and several other ops that I can't remember. Hope this helps.
