I noticed the resolution of my philips 51pp9100d/37 hdtv is not correct. Even in other format modes the proper broadcasted or connected image resolution is not fully displayed. On another tv I managed to find a free service manual and manually corrected its problem. I was wondering if I could get the proper button sequence to allow me to enter service mode on my philips 51pp9100d/37.
I suspect that you may be using a cable or sat box rather than that set's internal atsc tuner.
Sometimes these boxes are not set up properly or reset themselves to a lower resolution.
Go into your box's settings menu nd look for the resolution settings. Verify that all of the modes or at least the maximum resolution for your set is enabled.
