Question about Dell A940 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I insert my page on the flatbed, close the cover and select either black or color - copy. Only 1/4 of the page prints. I've tried it from my printer software and it prints fine. I don't always have the time to go to the computer to print and I don't have a regular copy machine.
Sometimes this happens with most printers i advice that you get hold of this software..called Virtual Printer it takes care of many of the printer problems...It wil really save you lot of time and hair!Atleast it woked for all of my 2 printers till now..

SOURCE: won't print black!
I had same problem after refilling a cartridge, tried wiping head with damp cloth...kinda worked. I finally put my mouth over the refill hole and blew gently into it to create some pressure to unclog the cartridge. This worked very well for about a week. Then the problem recurred and I haven't had any luck getting black to print either.

SOURCE: Prints Blank Pages
I had a the same problems.
The Fix - Below where the cartridge ride on (side to side). There is a strip touch it is probably tacky with ink residue, it prevents the cartridges from moving freely. This causes friction and slows the printer down causing the errors.
Wipe it clean with windex. And that will clear all the issues with this printer.
