Wireless internet card for DELL C600 - ?

Good morning! Recently I bought a used C600. It has no wireless internet capability. I want to buy a wireless card. But there are many on the market so I am confused as what is the best for C600. Some of them offered are DELLs, some - different brands. I assume that a DELL card will be ideal. But what card model number do I need? Thank you! Tania

Re: Wireless internet card for DELL C600 - ?

Personally i would go for a usb wireless adapter as many people have driver problems with the pcmcia slot and are unable to get it to recognise the card, whereas usb is much simpler to use. All the usb type adapters are much the same they dont have to be the same make as your router, but buy the same transfer speed type, for example if you have a 108MBPS router buy the compatible 108 MBPS adapter as a 54MBPS adapter will reduce the transfer speed capabilty, not to be confused with your connection speed.

I have a dell latitude cpx computer i m tryin to figure out how to hook my wireless internet to it it dont have a place for an ethernet to go

This laptop does not have ethernet or wireless capabilities. You can't connect this to a wireless network.
You would need to buy a PC extension card and use it from the extension connector slot.

Can i install a wifi card in my latitude c600

It would be much cheaper and easier to purchase a USB wireless adapter from Best Buy\Fry's. They are easy to set up and you won't have to take your system apart.

Can't get wireless to work on laptop

You may use the System restore utility on windows by going to all programs then Accessories... Open system Tools and then System Restore. You may resotre your system to an earlier time, time when you are still able to connect to your router wirelessly.

Not connecting to internet

The CPX doesn't have Wireless capabilities, unless you get a USB Wireless adapter. For now, use the Yellow Network lead to connect it to your router or modem, and then purchase a USB Wi-Fi adapter if you want to move it around more.

Dell c600 cant get on internet

yes the cdrom is normal.... it is just spring loaded... not motor driven

for your internet, open up your network manager and refresh/repair connection through the given choices...

Make sure you're using a Wireless capable Router as well.... and reset the router..

Connecting to internect

Hi Linda........
1. You can disconnect the Rj45 cable from the PC & connect
it directly to your notebook's Rj45 port. You should have access to the internet if a minute or two.
2. if you want access to both, Pc & notebook you'll need a wireless router. Like the link below. Click it.
You can find these types of wireless routers at places like Wallmart & Best Buy. They come in even smaller packages.
With the software that is included you'll be connected to the internet in no time. Linksys also provides security so someone near to your home can not tap your internet service & get a free ride. Linksys provides setup assistance from day one.
Hope this helps you Linda!

I don't think the 380 has any internal network capability either wireless or wired.
