Built in web cam? Does the web cam work with the software e.g. - Microsoft life cam? If does not work at all could be out, get an external USB web cam. Could be a driver, could be the site or site settings.
Go to your computer's manufacturer's website or the web-cam manufacturer's website and search for the web-cam drivers for your computer model and operating system. Download the proper driver setup and run it, this will install the software for you to use the web-cam.
Now using the supplied disk install the camera software but please do not connect the camera YET, if the camera is already connected,
remove the camera and reboot,
so you installed the camera software now plug the usb camera in, it will now detect the install camera software and work.
step 1
Place the product installation CD in the CD drive of your computer. The installation wizard will start automatically. Follow the installation wizard prompts.
Step 2
Plug
the USB connector at the end of the LifeCam connection cable
into an available USB port on your computer when prompted.
Step 3
Place the LifeCam on a flat, level surface, or hang it from your computer's monitor. Continue following the wizard prompts until the installation wizard finishes.
Step 4
Click the "Start" button, then click "All Programs" on the Start menu.
Step 5
Click
the "Microsoft LifeCam" folder icon in the list of programs on the
Start menu, then click the "LifeCam" icon. That opens the LifeCam software and completes the installation process.
