Re: Heating element Zanussi washing machine

Remove the back, the element is at the bottom of the drum tis maybe a split cabinet, where the lid comes off the it splits down the middle like cracking an egg, loads of screws, hard to describe, also 2 at bottom at the side in the middle, behind 2 plastic lugs, when removed the back half of the cabinet comes away, not an easy job until you have seen it done if you really are stuck try and send me an e mail address and i will send you a drawing, then you will see its easy, i am an engineer of 20 years and done loads, its easy job to do once you know how to split the cabinet

How do I finish removing the rear half-cabinet of a Zanussi FL828 washing machine?

Carboran Tub

1. Remove the ring fastening the door gasket and disengage said gasket from the front panel.
2. Disconnect the tubes from the tub (soap dispenser-to-tub, vapour discharge, tub-to-filter housing, etc...)
3. Disconnect all component wiring connectors fastened to tub (motor, heating element, thermostats) and adjustable thermostat bulb, if any.
4. Remove the motor
5. Unscrew the four fastening screws and remove the back counter weights (only on machines provided with such counter weights).
6. Remove the two pins fastening schock absorbers to the tub.
7. Lay the machine flat front-face downwards (placing in-between some means of protections, such as polystyrene, cardboard and the like, so as not to scratch the cabinet).
8. Disengage the tub's suspension springs from the cross-bar with the aid of a piece of string.
9. Remove the tub from the washing machine.
10. Remove the driven pulley.
11. Remove the motor (if you doesn't before)
12. Remove the 17 screws which fasten together the two shells.
13. Slide out the drum.

How to fix a heater zwg 7120p

You will have to purchase the heating element which for your model might look something like the one shown on this site.

Washing Machine Heating Element with Sensor
The instructions to replace this should come with it.
If not then try to download instructions from here which is usually similar for most European front loaders like yours.

Replace Zanussi ZWD12270W faulty dryer heating element

Just for the record, the heating element went on mine too and I'd only used it less than half a dozen times. The engineer said that it went because it hadn't been used enough (it gets moisture inside somewhere). He said if I didn't use it I would have the same problem after it had been replaced. So make sure you dry something every couple of weeks (he said at least once a month).

How do i replace heating element in a zanussi washing machine

It depends on the model of washer.
If it has no removeable rear panel, then you have to remove the complete rear half of the cabinet to access the heater, not an easy job.
If it is an early model, then it will have a removeable rear cover, and the heater can be changed from the rear of the washer.

Zanussi jetsystem turbodry 1600 wjs1665 w is not heating the water

More than likely the heater element has failed.
This is located at the rear of the washer drum.
It means removing the rear half of the cabinet to access it.

Zanussi FJD1666W heater removal.

There is no easy way to access the heater without stripping it down.
Remove top cover.
Remove 2 scews at rear bottom of cabinet.
Remove 2 plastic covers at front bottom sides of cabinet, and remove 2 screws located in holes, you will need a nut socket to remove them.
Remove inlet hoses, and undo screw at top where the hoses connect to, prize up the plastic retainer that holds the valves in place.
Remove screws at top of cabinet that hold the 2 halves together.
Then lift rear half of cabinet clear of the front.
At the bottom rear you will see the heater element located.
Undo center nut and remove element..
Fit back all parts in reverse order.
Not an easy job. Good luck.
Plz rate my solution.

ZANUSSI ZWD162701 washing always comes out cold - WHY?

Washers are meant to rinse in cold water, so clothes should come out cold.
If you are not sure if it is getting hot, then select a very hot wash, and feel the door glass periodically, it should gradually get hotter, if it does not , then it is washing in cold water only.
This could mean that the heater element has gone.
Plz rate my solution.

It could be a malfunction heating element, thermostat or both. In most of the cases it's the heating element. Check with a multi-meter for 115/220V on the heater element tags. In case you get this voltage there, you should replace the heating element. In case you can't read the 115/220V on the heater tags: - Check thermostat's for continuity (you should read a low resistance). In case you can't get any measurement. You should replace the thermostat. Good luck!
