Screen size has enlarged so I can't read words at the bottom or top of screen. How can I get back to the normal view?

Look for "aspect ratio" or "screen" or "zoom" on your remote.
Press it twice to see what setting it moves to next..
you're looking for words like zoom...or numbers like 4:3....16:9..
letterbox, standard and Auto. these words will appear when you press this button repeatedly and the screen will expand or shrink accordingly. No need to save as it's meant to be used often depending on how you like to view different programmes.
It's usually pressed by mistake, I know I have many times.
The only strange thing is ....it's called something different for nearly every device (no standard name)...

Youtube on my vizio 470i tv is off centered

CHANGING THE SCREEN ASPECT RATIO: ( From Manual )
The TV can display images in four different modes: Wide, Zoom, Panoramic, and Normal. Each mode displays the picture differently. To change the screen aspect ratio:
1. Press the MENU button on the remote.
2. Use the Arrow buttons to highlight the Wide icon. Press OK.
3. Use the Arrow buttons to highlight your desired screen mode and press OK:
• Normal preserves the content's original aspect ratio. Since the 4:3 aspect ratio is not large enough to fill the TV's screen, black bars are added to the left and right of the display image.
• Wide stretches a 4:3 aspect ratio picture to the edges of the screen. Since the picture is being stretched, the display image may appear distorted. If the program is already formatted for widescreen viewing (1.85:1 or 2.35:1), then black bars will appear on the top and bottom of the display image.
• Zoom expands images with black bars to fit the screen.
• Panoramic expands the display image to fill the screen.
images may appear wider than intended.
If you are watching widescreen (1.85:1 or 2.35:1) content, black bars will still appear on the top and bottom of the display image. This option is only available when the TV is displaying a 480i/480p source.

How can i go factory menu from remot in akai ninja flat tv

Set the volume level to 'Zero' first, by pressing the volume down button by the front panel of the TV. Then press both volume down button on the front panel of the TV, and display button on the remote control simultaneously. Service mode window should appear. The is the common procedure to get into service mode to Akai TVs. The procedure may differ according to models. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. It has service mode entry procedure to many brand TVs, including many Akai models. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type in the model name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic /Timeslide option.

My akai tv is set on full screen

You should have a button on the remote that came with the TV labeled: format , ratio , wide , picture , somthing like that, different brands of TVs call it different things and I am not familiar with the Akai branded TVs, but when you find it just press it as many times as needed to make the picture look as you want it to.
Good luck !

I have a T5054 TV and the picture has zoomed in and is way too big, however in the picture settings menu the zoom option is not highlighted in Component mode.

There could be a problem, but verify the settings as listed in the owner's manual as follows:

1 Press the MENU button to display the menu.
Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Picture, then press the ENTER button.
2 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select Size, then press the ENTER button.
3 Press the ▲ or ▼ button to select the screen format you want.
Press the ENTER button.
Press the EXIT button to exit.
16:9 : Sets the picture to 16:9 wide mode.
Zoom1 : Magnifies the size of the picture on the screen.
Zoom2 : Expands the Zoom1 format picture.
Wide Fit : Enlarges the aspect ratio of the picture to fit the entire screen.
4:3 : Sets the picture to 4:3 normal mode.
Just Scan : Use this function to see the full image without any cutoff when DTV
or HDMI 720p/1080i signals are input.
Press the P.SIZE button on the remote control to change the picture size.

And realize the restrictions as listed:

• In TV, VIDEO, S-VIDEO, and COMPONENT(480i, 480p) modes, all screen
modes can be selected. (16:9 ➞ Zoom1 ➞ Zoom2 ➞ 4:3)
• In COMPONENT(720p, 1080i) or HDMI(720p, 1080i) mode, 16:9, 4:3 and
Wide Fit can be selected.
• In Zoom1, Zoom2 and Wide Fit modes, you can move the picture on the
screen by pressing the ▲ or ▼ button.
•You can not change the picture size when PIP is set to Double.
•When Double ( , ) mode has been set in PIP, the Picture Size cannot
be set.
•Wide Fit can be used when watching a Digital HD (High Definition) signal.
Wide Fit sets the optimum picture format by expanding it both horizontally and
vertically. For example, you can reset the picture in 4:3 format to 16:9. Wide Fit
does not support all external devices (DVD, VCR etc.).
