HI My son has a DS game chip with 36 games on it. The memory is full on it. When we turn it on comes up on a blue screen. Initilizing fat Free disk not enough Please delete some file! How can we delete some files? Hope you can help. Thanks Ally
Its a bit dumb that it says 'free disk not enough' and expects you to delete some stuff when you cant even get into the game. Does anyone now how to delete some stuff?the games. i have 36 in 1 game thingy whatever its called. And as long as i have this problem i cant play any of the games. Doesnt ANYONE at all have the answer?
Okay i can help i have an R4 and it works perfect except for my left <- button... i hate that button never really liked it... okay anyways to delete some games that you dislike or whatever take out the chip and in the chip should be a little small chip and put in a USB thing to upload games on. So what you have to do is access the DS game chip R4 or w/e access it and you should delete the games that are not needed simple!
Hope this helps
If your lookin for a good place to download DS games heres a good website
www.ndash.eu
Its good
I have touchmaster1, 2007, how can I erase the names of the players?
I am not completelly sure about the game card chip you talk about but that
sounds like a flash card cartridge for NDS. If you just would give me
more information about that game card like seller store or website or
device serial/model, slot used and flash type used. I will investigate
about it.
The first: make sure the flash card is well plugged
into the cartridge and plug it out and in again to be sure. Better if
you clean the flash memory contacts with a dry cloth or q-tip.
Second:
find the cartridge documentation and try to find a web page. Usually
all the product issues like this are placed in the FAQs area of the
manufacturer site. Or at least with the name you can find information
in any related forum.
Third: If like I think, a fat error can
happen when you use a flash memory
card with a fat partition different or not supported by the cartridge
hardware or firmware. That is not something that can happen just by
using it unlike the files get corrupted.
In your case seems like you depleted the card memory maybe by storing game saves in the card. You can try to delete them by using the card menu. If the error dont let you do it, then you must find the cartridge memory card if removable and try deleting some unused files with your computer using a memory card reader. If not a removable memory then you must have a reader/writer for interchanging files with a computer or a comunicartion cable which should need some software or drivers.
And having something of that you always have the option
to format the card, reload the cartridge software, upgrade the firmware,
download new game roms, convert them if nescesary and load them in the
flash card to play. Usually these devices use FAT16 or FAT file format
(not FAT32 until you know this device support that format).
This is all i can say by now with the information you gave me...
Good Luck...

How can we delete some files?
cheers
Exactly the same - got an 18 game card and its full. So do I have to get some software and a cable.... is that it?
Thanks
I have exactly the same problem and error message appear on the blue screen.
This original NDS game card has been used all the time w/o problem before.
There's possibility that some games were saved into the card and occupy accumulated spaces in the memory card. The next time it was started there's no more enough space for the program to start with.
The card is checked using another NDS and same problem exist.
The question is how do we delete files in the card using NDS in manual mode. Please help and kindly explain step by step.
Thank you.
I can not delete game data(E.i.mario 3on 3 basketball). what do I do?
Hello. I know something that can help you. Jus copy and paste this urlhttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?... or if this doesnt work simply remove the micro SD card from the R4DS then put it into the micro SD card reader the R4DS came with then plug it into you computer. A window should pop up select open folder and view files from there search the folders and delete the roms which end in .nds for example: 1491 - Bleach - The Blade of Fate (U).nds. There will also be save files which end in .sav i suggest you just leave them on the R4 in case you ever want to put back on the roms and play them again without having to start over!!
How do I delete corrupt files on a R4 card ?
