Question about Canon PIXMA MP810 All-In-One InkJet Printer

MP810 paper jam

The other day I was printing a simple multi page PDF file on plain white paper when the printer suddenly stopped claiming that there was a paper jam. Both my husband and I have searched high and low but have not found any jammed paper yet the printer still won't work. Any ideas people?

same goes to me... any idea people??

The solution we have found is that it needs to go back to Canon so that they can replace the entire paper feed unit. If it's under warranty then they will fix it for free - if not then I can't help you with how much this would cost.

    Good luck!

Same problem - it's the 2nd Canon printer in 6 months I have had and
both have had the same paper feeding/jamming issues. Not Happy:(

My printer just broke 2 weeks after the warranty expired. When I called Canon they told me that when my paper jamed it probably hit the paper sensor and bent it. But that he couldn't assist me because I would not be able to replace the peice, only a certified technician could. He also said it isn't a common problem but it isn't unheard of. I then told him that I have looked around on the internet and found several cases of it and he said "when you go looking for fire you find it". Nice thing for costumer service to say. In this case when i go looking for fire and find it that means your product is defective. If a printer can't hold up due to a normal paper jam then I don't want it. HP printers from now on, never had one of those break. Still have one that works great for my daily printing but not pictures and I bought it 8 years ago.

I bought a brand new canon with my first pc years ago and it was the first and last ia m afraid, it worked for two...yes two...print jobs, i had it a wee k then it just stopped and said a jam, but it turned out to be the paer sensor. Brand new and they had to swap it. Seems a big fault with these. However, the next one seemed to be ok, but i had occasional cartridge issues. I have never had an ounce of trouble with my lexmark apart from alittle toddler paperjam!!!

I have a canon MP810 it is coming up with error code 6B00, what does this mean ?

You probably have something stuck in the paper feed or under the print head.
First try moving the print head left and right with the printer off. If that doesn't work then, Try looking for jam in the paper feed and specifically under the rollers. A small piece of paper or other debris, like fallen paper clip, staple. postage stamp are things I have seen stuck in printers that cause jams and error codes.
If these solutions don't work, post comment here.

Paper Jam whilst doing a multi page scan

The rollers that pull the paper through could need a cleaning. With general usage these parts do get worn down. By having your printer cleaned by certified technician it would resolve this problem.

How do I realign my hp photosmart c4480 printer?

To align the print cartridges from the HP Photosmart Software
1. Load letter or A4 unused plain white paper into the input tray.
NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print
cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input
tray, and then try the alignment again.
2. In the HP Solution Center, click Settings.
3. In the Print Settings area, click Printer Toolbox.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click
Printer Services.
NOTE: You can also open the Printer Toolbox from the Print Properties dialog
box. In the Print Properties dialog box, click the Features tab, and then click the
Printer Services button.
The Printer Toolbox appears.
4. Click the Device Services tab.
5. Click Align the Print Cartridges.
When prompted, ensure plain white letter or A4 paper is loaded in the input tray, then
press the button next to OK.
NOTE: If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the print
cartridges, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input
tray, and then try the alignment again.
The product prints a print cartridge alignment sheet.
7. Load the page print side down on the right front corner of the glass, and then press
the button next to OK to scan the page.
When the On button stops flashing, the alignment is complete and the page can be
removed. Recycle or discard the page.

My Brother HL-2040 paper led light won't stop flashing, the paper's not jammed or anything, I just put in a new toner, too. I tried doing what someone else said about opening the cover and holding Go until...

Hi. The reasons listed in the manual that cause the LED to flash normally are:

Front cover is open
Close the front cover of the printer.
Back cover is open
Close the back cover of the printer.
Paper jam
Clear the paper jam. See Paper jams and how to clear them on page 6-5.
If the printer does not start printing, press the Go button.
No paper fed manual feed slot
Put the paper in the manual feed slot. See Printing on plain paper, bond paper
or transparencies from the manual feed slot on page 1-10 or Printing on thick
paper, labels and envelopes from the manual feed slot on page 1-13.
Memory full
The printer memory is full and the printer cannot print full pages of a
document. See Solving print problems on page 6-15.
Print overrun
A print overrun occurred and the printer cannot print full pages of a document.
See Solving print problems on page 6-15.
Drum Error
The corona wire needs to be cleaned. See Cleaning the corona wire on page 5-14.

If you check out page 6-5 it tells how to clear the paper jam from the rear of the machine! A point often missed.

Check out the website below if you don’t have a copy of the instruction manual =

http://welcome.solutions.brother.com/BSC/public/files/dlf/doc002089/US_Eur.pdf

If all else fails, try a reset of the printer Drum & Page counter:
  1. With printer tuned on.
  2. Press and hold the “internal button” behind front cover, until all LEDs illuminate.
  3. Make sure Drum light is off, then release and close front cover.
Hope some of this helps………..Please post a response back here and let us all know if it works?............Regards, Cornwellnet (UK)

Page prints half page then jams

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed throught the printer. The reason for this, in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time. Worth a try. I have fixed a number of printers this way saving costly repairs. Bud

Hi,
I m not sure what the specification of the paper type you are using however if you are using card stock than you should use manual feed Tray and in the printer driver properties you should select paper type as Card-Stock to make sure there is no print quality issue.
