Go to Control Panel, open device manager, and and check for any yellow checks for your
sound, video and game controllers. If there are none, your system is go. Then go to your audio manager on control panel, and set it up for whatever speaker configuration you have. I have realtec audio manager. This step is a must for configuring—you choose whether your laptop will use its own speaks or use your external speakers—you have to turn off the internal speakers and turn on the external manually. You can adjust volume there..

Rear and centre speakers are not working

Check the cables input, try to connect the cables on other inputs in the receiver, if it not works probably the speaker are not working, if it works the receiver inputs are damaged.

How do I connect the audio from a Panasonic to p50-s1 to a marantz nr1403 so that I get surround sound audio?

The Audyssey setup does not use any audio from the TV. Audyssey is started automatically when you plug in the calibration microphone. Once you start the setup, it will output a calibration tone to each speaker. (Read the Audyssey setup instructions.) There is 1 digital audio optical input on the back of the NR1403. You will need a optical digital cable for the connection. Once connected, you'll need to use the input setup menus to select that digital sound input to go with the video input you are watching. Check page 15 of the manual.

I need to open the casing on a logic3 wip027a ipod speaker system. i have removed all 4 srews from the back in each corner but there seems to be some lind of fixing holding the centre of the unit. how

Hi, I opened a Logic3 I-station today (dark grey and silver), and there are LOTS of screws for each side.
- on the side where the line in and DC adapter sockets are, there are 4 Phillips screws including 3 hidden behind rubber covers.
- you need to remove them all.
- for the other side there are 2 at the bottom and a few more on the back under rubber covers.
- but no more other hidden screws.

Then you need to be BRAVE because the bottom and short side are clipped at the bottom.
- you have to lever the front off quite hard to get the clips to release.
- The side without the DC input came off easier, because it has just a speaker in it (and nothing broke.)
- The side with the DC input connected came off and broker the speaker wires away from the speaker because the speaker cable was glued to the back where the ferrite bead is.

Then you should be in, and see the 2 PCBs on front right and nothing but speaker front left.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
tony_bobfan

Did the speaker relays light up ? and did you hear the third speaker relays ON clicking sound? If both no, DSP problem. If both yes, DIR problem. If the speaker relays lit up but NO speaker relay clicking sound, check relay driver +24V power supply.

Hello there looking at the manual i would assume that the mid-large box is actually your centre speaker.

Did you mean that there are no connections left on the back of your amplifier? For a centre speaker this system uses all passive speakers apart from the subwoofer which has a built in amplifier for just the subwoofer, your hifi or home cinema amplifier would need to have at least 5 separate channels to operate the centre speaker as well as the front and rear speakers.

Ideally you would need a 5.1 channel or 5 channel amplifier with subwoofer pre output, any would do but to make things simple one with a digital optical or coaxial input would be best as this can easily carry multi-channel audio with just one connector.

The other alternative if your amplifier does not have a centre speaker output are:

· to get another basic mono stereo amplifier to power the centre speaker on its own however if your main amplifier does not have a pre out connector for a centre speaker you will have to change the volume independently on both amplifiers

· don

try swapping the speakers around if the problem still persists either the speaker is faulty
the speakers plug/outlet is usually at the back of the computer you will have to open up the computer to check the lead attached to the rear of the input plug make sure the connection is good
be sure to wear an anti static earth strap before touching anything inside your computer
try cleaning your computer of dust using a fine air blower from a compressor making VERY sure that there is no MOISTURE in the air line specifically around the CPU central processing unit and your sound card dust causes static to build up in a computer causing it to overheat any many other problems
hope this helps

The rear amp is malfunctioning (duh). Take it to a tech for a real diagnosis.

No audio is coming through my speakers

If the receiver is actually powering up but you are getting no sound, there are few basic things to check.

Check the audio connections on the back (speakers AND inputs) to make sure they are tight at both ends and undamaged. Go into the setup screen for the DVD player and make sure the audio settings are set for PCM output and that you are using a digital or optical audio cable. Then make sure you have the correct function selected on the receiver to match the inputs. If the receiver has a speaker test function, use it to see if there is any output from the speakers. Finally, make sure the volume is turned up and the mute button is off.

Otherwise, the amplifier may be faulty
