Question about Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Console
I have been using my psp wifi for a while now and suddenly when i tried to use the wifi (scanning for access points) it said 'internal error 00000001' i tried to change some settings but it was always the same (unless it said the wlan is not turned on) i really like using the wifi on psp especially when i need to use msn and there is no computer.
Dont worry its no problen sony did not encode the higher versions it should say no network found but but it is the same thing so dont worry

Go to internet browser enter a website you want to go on and then scan for wireless connections and save 1 and just select it to connect to the web. Dont do it through infrastructure mode under internet settings

Me have the same problem too , i can use my psp for online but suddenly disconnect affter some time .
Next time no matter how many time i try connect to the old ACCESS POINT , it juz display internal error(00000001)

By the internal error it means that - the psp couldnt find an access point.
This is because the US govn. has made it cumpulsory

This is a common problem after updating to 3.7x firmware.
Just wait until sony updates the firmware again to fix the problem...
this error will report when there is no access point detected when scanning for new access points.

I can't believe people still don't know:
error 0000001 = No access point in range.
It states it clearly on the PSP web site, and in their forums.
Or you could read the updated manual !

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

Check your PSP firmware revision, apparently some firmware revisions from 3.60 - 3.73 can cause this issue. Most people that experienced it reported that updating to firmware revision 3.8 resolved the issue completely. 3.9 is available now and should work as well. Download and instructions here:
