Just bought an Acer desktop and cannot get the speakers to work. I tried different speakers with same results, so the problem is the PC. I also checked all the software set-up menus and no solution.

Speaker issue desktop's only
1. Plug USB into USB port (any)
2. Plug Black speak cable into LIGH GREEN (NOT BLACK) connector
3. You will see a popup window - make sure it is on Front Speaker out
4. Click OK - you will a cartoon computer with speakers on either side -then click on one of the
speakers to test
5. if that does not work then follow this:
Reinstalling apps:
1. If in Windows - Start - Programs - Acer Empowering Technology - Acer E-recovery management -
click on Restore at bottom then "Reinstall apps and drivers" - look for hardware drivers that you
need. Click "install now"

Hi,

Most recent desktop computers have speaker jack/connectors at the front and at the rear but only one will work at a time. If you have verified that your speakers work, you may need to try connecting it to the other jack othern than where it is connected now.

If your PC is a laptop, check if there is a mechanical volume control other than the desktop slider.

Pls post back with your computer model.

Good luck and kind regards.

The ONLY way I have been able to get them to work is to put the USB for it in the front as well as the colored plug.

I have the same problem that the others are having,I can't hear any sound from the speakers, and I tried plugging the plug into all of the jack openings in the back and in the front of the computer. What solution do you have for this problem. I just bought the computer 5 months ago, and the speakers work at first, but know they don't work! This is very frustrating!!!!!!!

I purchased an Acer Aspire, and can't get my JBL speakers to work either. I have tried every jack available. Acer's speakers suck.
