Problem with Addonics dvd/cd-rw (AEPMRW88U)

I own an addonics dvd/cd (AEPMRW88U). It has stopped and won't turn on it has trapped an important CD in it and will not open >How can iget it to turn on or open so that I can retrieve my CD ?????

    Thank you Anthony it worked except on my model the eject button and the little hole are on the front,

Not sure about getting it running again, but next to the eject button (usually on the right hand side) there is a little hole. Take a paper clip and bend it into a point and stick the paperclip into the hole until you feel it give a little resistance. You should then push in a little and the drive will manually open. Hope this helps.

Why won't cds play in the dvd-rw?
Nathaniel, DVD RW have the capability of playing any CD. If you are facing problem then either:

a) Your CD is not right or has too much scratches on it.
b) Your DVD RW Lens has gotten a bit weak. Clean your DVD RW lens and then give it a try.

Addonics dvd/cd-rw
Sometimes this can be caused by settings or any hardware changes, but if you haven't changed anything probably not. I have had mine act like yours, I ended up installing a new DVD player.

Where can I buy this
The MFR is discontinued by Addonics. Your best bet is probably to search for one on eBay. I couldn't find any retailers that carried it either.

How can i watch dvds ?
You need to buy an external DVD RW, you will be able to watch and record DVD and CDs on your Eee.
Here is a lelection, they start from $40
Cheap ones are usually big, probably bigger than your Eee, here are a couple of nice pocket model
