The Ricoh error code 548 / SC548 is a fusing unit error code. If you are getting this error: Check the fuser unit to see if it is set properly. There are some connections on the fuser unit not making good contact.

If I'm not mistaken, that type of photoconductor is not compatible with your particular model of machine. The SC542 and SC548 errors are related to the fuser unit. It is not warming up correctly. It could be that it needs replacement thermostats or thermisters. It's possible that the incompatible drum unit has created this problem.

SC548 is fuser belt rotation error, check the 2 sensors on the left hand side of the copier (as you look at where the fuser is located). These get knocked & moved out of postion, I think they have been modified, but I don't have the part number, sorry. Allso check the firmware is up to date.

SC548 means the machine it not seeing the fuser unit. Open the Right side and front doors. Check the fuser unit to see if it is mounted properly.
There is some connection on the fuser module not making good contact. Reseat the fuser and power the machine off and on.
If you need to reset. Press Clear all, 107 and hold the pink button until you cee copy sp page displayed. Press copy sp, then while on that page turn the machine off and back on.

SC548 is a fusing unit installation error. The machine can not detect the fusing unit for some reason. Did you have the fusing unit out of the machine? Like to remove a paper jam? In case you do not know the fusing unit is the part that gets hot. Located right before where the paper exits the copier. It comes out the front of the machine when you have the front door open. If the front door is open it is in the upper right corner and should have a blue knob on it. Make sure this unit is all the way in. You also may have a wiring or connector issue causing this as well.
You will have to enter the service mode to reset this code.
CAUTION: Do NOT mess with this service mode in any way other than the specific function I give you. Doing so could result in damage to your machine!

Enter SP (service mode) by pressing yellow C button, then press 1 0 7 on numeric keypad and then hold down the orange C button, display will change and then from the menu select "copy SP" then type in 5801 and press #, then press "execute". Turn power off and back on. If the code is gone and the machine works then your fine. If it comes back you will need to call a servicing company and have them repair the machine.

please follow the instruction and you will reset the copier:
press the follow keys in order:
1. press the yellow key[c] (clear)
2. press 1-0-7 on the number pad
3.press and hold it pressed the red key [c] (stop)
4.When on the screen will appear other menu different from the usual turn off the machine from the main switch (the red switch) and then turn it on after 5 seconds.

AMCAP VIDEO CAPTURE WILL NOT FUNCTIONPROPERLY

Enter SP 5810 (SC code reset), select “Execute”, select “close”, exit SP mode then turn main power switch off and on.
to enter SP mode press yellow C button press 1 0 7 on numeric keypad and then hold down the orange C button from the menu select copier SP then type in 5801 and press # selest execute then power off and back on. Your machine should now be working. Hope this helps.
