Re: Noise

If its the same as mine its a problem with one of your toner cartridges, if you pull them out you will see that on the back of the "barrels" there is a cog. When inserted this cog is turned by another inside the machine. The plastic on the cog on the toner is very weak so sometimes the teeth will get chewed up a bit. it has never caused me a problem with print quality (just really annoying)and i imagine this is your problem. if you are worried about damaging your printer then pull out all of the cartridges to find the offender with the chewed up cog and replace it as i imagine having it isn't healthy but as i say, its never caused any problems other than the noise.

Hp M551 laserjet printer makes whistling noise when printing

Some times the toner has a clear plastic tape that is inside the toner, the tip is on the short side of the toner cartridge. if you do not remove that plastic then it would make that whistling nosies.

Noise while printing - Diagnosis Pt 1

It seems that it takes my printer a long time to react to printing an copying and it all seems to make a lot of noise. Is that normal?

Yes it its normal. After hit the print its will take few sec or min. "20 sec to 1 min, depend on the computer speed means ram , cpu speed". Some time printer give a bad noise while printing. Specially cartridge users. But that noise can't come from toner build printers. Its smooth like a butter. what ever, as per your sound you can do one thing, remove the cartridge, and clean the dust from printer inside. After that the noise little bit going down. But if your feel the noise like a metal scrubbing, then i suggest you visit service center and tell them for a service.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.

Why is my hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one make a clicking noise, when I turn it on? It seems to be stuck in a "cycle". Like the printing carriage (if that's what you call it) is hooked-up.

See if you can press the power button to turn it off, leave it for 5 minutes then turn it on again, if the clicking persists again try 1 more time, turn off, leave for 5 mins then turn back on this time there should be no clicking noise and you should be able to send a print job to the queue and it should print.
If this doesnt work then goto the hp software and purge.

HP LJ P2015DN making noise/squeaking

As you mentioned that the printer makes loud grinding noise or squeaking when page comes out than i feel this is the noise coming out due to faulty fuser.
I want to be sure so please open the rear bin and try to print if still noise comes than i m sure it is fuser.
If there are smudges on the printed page or if some film coating is coming out with printed page than fuser roller are physically damage.
However in this case i assume fuser is faulty.
If there opening the rear bin noise goes off than top output rollers are faulty.

Thanks and Regards

Black ink

Please try the following to resolved the issue:

Run a series of head cleaning
1. Make sure the printer is turned on but not printing. Make sure there are no error lights or messages appearing in the LCD.
NOTE: You cannot clean the print head if the any of the cartridges are expended. Replace the appropriate ink cartridge before proceeding.
2. Load letter size paper.
3. Click on START, CONTROL PANEL, PRINTER & FAXES then right click on CX3200 printer Icon then select printing preferences
4. Click on the UTILITY or MAINTENANCE tab, then click on HEAD CLEANING.
5. Follow the instructions on the screen to clean the printhead. Cleaning takes about 30 seconds, during which time the printer makes some noise and the power light flashes. Never turn off the printer while the power light is flashing, unless the printer has not moved or made noise for more than 5 minutes.
6. When the power light stops flashing click PRINT NOZZLE CHECK PATTERN and then click NEXT.
7. If the nozzle check pattern has no gaps in its lines, click FINISH. If the pattern has any gaps, click CLEAN to clean the printhead again.
8. If the situation continues after three cleaning cycles and nozzle checks, replace one of the affected ink cartridge(s).
9. Once the cartridge(s) has been replaced, please follow steps one through seven up to three times.
If the nozzle check still has gaps after you have run at least 3 consecutive cleaning cycles and replaced the affected ink cartridge(s) with genuine Epson inks, your printer will require service.

Load Noises

If the HP LaserJet series printer is experiencing a grinding or odd noise when printing or on power-up, open the printer and remove the print cartridge. Close the printer door.
If the noise does not recur with the print cartridge removed, replace the print cartridge.
If the noise persists, this may indicate a hardware failure. If possible, isolate and identify the location of the noise and contact a local HP sales and service ofice at the number noted in the product User's Guide . A list of phone numbers can be found at .
