Just go to Bank C or anything after that and start entering -- one channel, one frequency. It's kind of cumbersome to do by pushing the keys, but it works. An alternative is to use the BuTel software. It will simplify programming and give you Virtual Control of the scanner through your computer.

If this helps, please give us a rating. A "very helpful" would be greatly appreciated.

it wouldn't matter if you could, (scanners have these frequencies blocked out) as these are digitally encoded signals that run on proprietary spread spectrum systems that scanners cant decode

Tried programming 7 digit frequency but scanner wont accept it-any solutions - Deo

The scanner rounds off frequencies to six digits so if, for example you are programming a frequency with a 5 on the end drop it and the scanner will store it

I'm having problems programming radio frequencies on my scanner.

You didn't mention the make or model of your scanner, so I can't provide a response specific to your unit, but the trailing zero is meaningless, so there's no reason to enter it. Some bands on some scanners will only accept three decimal digits, but the scanner should round off your entry and still receive the intended frequency.

PROGRAMMING CHANNELS

1. Turn on your scanner by turning the volume clockwise.

2. The scanner might start scanning. If so, press MANUAL to stop the
scanning.

3. Enter the channel number that you want to program and press MANUAL.

4. Enter a frequency including the decimal point. The decimal point shows
up on the display as a -- (dash).

5. Press Enter to store the frequency.

6. To confirm the proper entry, press REVIEW. The programmed frequency
appears on the display one digit at a time.

7. To program more channels repeat steps 3-4.
