Can't get around forgotten password.

Contact Acer for a one-time BIOS password. OR try to do a fresh install with Windows7 install DVD.

There is no such thing! If the bios is locked it is because a PW was written to it They come without passwording being set. The only way to remove it is the open the RAM cover and find the two pins and short them out then close the cover and reboot.

is the bios locked or is windows locked ?? if window is locked thats easy if the bios (mother board or hard drive) is locked then you have a problem, let me know

You have to contact acer and possibly send the laptop to their service center.

Remove the bios battery, regular battery and power cable. This will cut all power to the mainboard and reset the bios password. The bios battery is a small circular battery somewhere on the motherboad. some modern laptops will have a little flap you can unscrew on the bottom, without having to take the whole case off.

The only way to reset the BIOS password is to find the jumper pins on the motherboard and set them to the clear state and remove the CMOS battery. It resets the CMOS to the default state.
Your best bet is to contact tech support and explain the situation to them
