Re: No sound

First I will try the following

1. Go into the Setup Screen (via your remote), there are some audio setting. Change it to see it makes a difference. Make sure it is not muted.

2. change from 2 Channel to 6.1/5.1 channels. At the bottom of the remote, there are a bunch of audio setting, play with it and see if it makes a difference.

Trace the TV audio back to its source - TV or Cable Box most likely. We have no way of knowing which. Substitute in another source to test the input.

If DVD audio works so does the basic HTS.

When playing the DVD player, sounds goes out

Take out all the speaker wires. Then unplug the unit for 30 minutes, come back and plug in all the speaker wires. making sure not a strand is anywhere but in the hole. and then plug back in the unit, This system is good at doing this and then if you do what i said everything is good. Best of luck

Pretty colors

Sounds like the other DVD player went bonkers. Try unplugging power on the DVD player you were playing the game on for 5 minutes, then plug it back in.

No sound from the reciever

Plug in your headphone, if you hear music then it could be the speaker's fuse blown up, or the speaker's circuit breaker shut down. If nothing sound then possibly the strong static has burned down the audio/receiver's circuitry section.
