Question about Motorola Mobility A1200
I have the same problem, but then I realized that the battery only charges through the battery desk charger that comes with the phone. Use that, if you have one.

Motorola phones are designed not to charge if the battery drains below a certain point as a safety measure. Normally the phone will shut off before the battery drains to this point but if your battery is bad or you bought one of those $5 batteries online this could happen. If this is the problem then you must charge the battery in a separate charger first and then just never let it go completely dead before charging it in the phone. Or better yet buy a decent battery to begin with.

I had the same problem also i found two things you could do, the first one if your computer does not charge the phone is because you need to install the drivers need to do this. you could find them on if you type motorola a1200 drivers in google or yahoo then install them in your computer. i also got my hands on a european charger and that worked i had to put on the us converter for it and that worked. hoped that help

My phone did the same thing, and all i did was plug it to the computer, it won't react at first but give it time. Once you pluged it to your computer it should on and just let it charge till complete.

I got mine in Hong Kong, but never used the phone there. When I got back to the States, the phone wouldn't charge no matter what charger I used. I tried to charge it using the USB cable, but the computer doesn't recognize the phone. Could it be a bad connector on the phone?
same problem as the above one
MY CELL PHONE WAS WORKING UNTIL THE BATTERY DIED AND I RECHARGED FOR A WHOLEDAY BUT IT HAS NOT TURN ON SINCE
My phone will charge on the computer, no problems there. IT WILL NOT however charge in my car oo on any wall chargers. I'm very interested in a solution for this very F'd up situation. thanks
