With smoke billowing out the back I strongly recommend a PROFESSIONAL technician examine your TV.

TRY the self check here, this model may have it.

When green light comes on and goes off, on front of set press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Watch the power light, if it has the self check feature it will blink a two digit error code.

The most common is two blinks, two blinks, a pause and then repeat several times.
