Hi! I'm a little confused about what you are asking. Do you want to watch a movie from a USB flash drive or connect a USB device (DVD player, etc) to your tV? Please give a little more detail and I;d be happy to help.

My 32inches LG CS410 TV cannot play video from USB hard-drive.

Maybe the video format on the USB is not compatible or supported by your LG TV. Look at you user manual for video formats that are playable via USB on your LG TV. If the video format is not supported you can use a video converter to convert it to one that it supports. You can use Free Video Converter by Freemake to convert your video.

What format video will play from a flash drive

If you wish to play video on any usb-supported devices using usb stick or flash drive, kindly check compatible format for the devices. Try searching it around using google. Some devices only supports .avi or just .mkv but there are also devices that can support various formats. The video format can be changed using FormatFactory. This software can convert pictures, videos, songs to different format according to your preferences.

I plugged in my usb into the dvd player to play vidoes off it but when i look for it in usb mode there are no videos. i have put videos and songs on usb and songs work so i know its compatible i just don't...

The size of the usb device also matters on these dvd players more often than not. If you are using a larger usb device and you have a smaller one try using it with a couple of files and see if that makes a difference.

Computer mode

hi follow this steps: Make sure that you have installed the USB driver for the handycam. You can download the drivers from this link: Sony Asia Pacific Support Website--Download Page for HC40E USB Driver for Windows. Connect the handycam to the AC adaptor (the same as putting it on charge). Set the handycam to USB stream mode. (Press P-menu, press MENU, Press EDIT/PLAY, Press USB MODE, Press USB Stream.) Set the tape at the point from where you want to start capturing in PC. Connect the handycam and the PC with the USB cable. (USB-Mode appears on the handycam LCD / viewfinder.) Start Windows Movie Maker. Click on the 'Capture..' link to start the wizard. Select the Sony Digital Imaging Device. Click Next. Specify the file name and path for the capture video. Click Next. Select the desired capture format and Click Next. (Leave it to recommended setting if you are not sure.) The dialog box now displays the Start Capture and End Capture buttons on the left and preview window on the right. Play the tape on the handycam. The video from handycam should appear in the preview window of WMM. Click the Start Capture button to start capturing the video. Click End Capture to pause or stop recording. Click the Finish button. The .wmv file will be saved in the path specified in step 7.
