Question about Hoover F7431-900 SteamVac Vacuum
I removed the spinbrush assembly and took the clear plastic casing off the row of brushes to clean each round spinbrush individually. when i put it all back together and went to use the carpet cleaner, the middle brush wouldn't stay in place if i lifted the cleaner off the carpet at all. did i break whatever was holding the middle brush in place?

SOURCE: middle brush problem
If this is new, get it replaced under warranty. Take your model number, serial number, proof of purchase and the brush block with you, or you may be able to do it at hoover.com.

I'm sure you have found a solution to this problem by now, but I am having the same problem removing the nozzle, and just read another persons post where they suggested buying the "Nozzle Clean-Out Tool" available on Hoover's website for $1.00 plus $5.00 in shipping. The part number is 39514001. It worked for this person, so I'm going to try it. Not a big investment, at least, in case it doesn't work!
