Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

Sansa e250 - Won't power up unless connected via USB

I have a Sansa e250 (refurbished), which worked great out of the box, but suddenly will only power on when connected via USB. Once connected via USB, I can see all of the mp3s on it, as well as add/remove new ones (this I see via the My Computer view, the Sansa simply says "Connected" the whole time, with the arrows going back and forth between the pc / player.) If I hold the power button down for 10 seconds or so, while connected to USB, it will power off. When disconnected from USB, dead. No lights, no power, no nothing. Ideas?

Sounds like the battery may have come loose. Remove the 4 screws on the back, remove and reinsert the battery. Charge the device for a few hours. Best of Luck.

I have had my Sansa SanDisk e250 since 2007. It has been working great until yesterday when it suddenly flashed a message saying "synchronize to continue music subscription" Any suggestions?...

It means to sync with your account on your pc. If you have the hardware such as a usb cord plug in the device. If it came with a CD as most do put that in your computer. Let me know if that doesn't work.

Will not connect via USB hub

I am guessing that the usb hub is not powered. Most usb charing based mp3 players require a certain amount of power in order to be used on the computer or charged by it. I would recommend plugging it into a direct port or buying a powered usb hub.

My new Dell Vostro does not recognise the Sansa e250, my previous Dell Latitude D620 immediately found it and connected (via USB)

hi
i think the reason may be due to virus attack or the corruption of running softwares in your e250 mp3.also you should install the driver of your mp3 in the lap

Just says connected until the battery dies.

first off if you can turn the player off
try this...

1 put on hold and hold record button while u turn on (your sansa is now in recovery mode)
2 connect your sansa to your comp via usb cable a box should show up saying the firmware version
3 close the window and disconnect your sansa (it will restart)

if that doesnt fix your problem try this...

if you can actually connect your sansa to the comp. and see it in explorer try this....

1 connect your sansa to comp via usb cable
2 right click start on windows desktop go to explore
3 scroll down to your sansa's drive rifght click it go to properties
4 go to tools tab and click "check now" under error checking will take awhile and will erase your memory on the sansa but it will probably work again

I hope my post was helpful let me know!!!!

Sansa Fuze wont work with home stereo

The Sansa doesn't play music through the USB port. You can connect the Sansa to your stereo via the Sansa's headphone jack.

My sansa e250 mp3 player is unable to connect to computer nor recognized to use .It won`t turn on change the modes

turning on to change modes is your problem. If it's completely dead you may need to replace it or refurbish it. Or if the battery is completely dead plug it in all day until you can get it to turn on. ONCE ON then you can worry about getting it to connect. Try this:
There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. For some reason MTP is the default, but it doesn't connect properly on all computers. Select MSC and plug the player in again, the computer will recognize sansa e250 but not show the driver just yet. It is installing recognition software (just basic drivers - nothing heavy) and it doesnt tell you what its doing until its complete. WAIT FOR IT. Once it is complete you will see both the sansa e250 and the removable memory slot in your "my computer" now you're good to go.
