Oven won't turn on

Hi, we recently had a power surge and now my oven does not turn on. When you open to oven door the light comes on, but the digital does not work. What can I do to get this working again? Would it cost more to fix or to replace?

Re: Oven won't turn on

If you haven't already, try turning off the circuit breaker for a few minutes. Turn it back on and see if the clock display is lit. If it does not, you may need to replace the clock assembly. It is sometimes costly for this repair.

Replace light in KEMC378KSS microwave

The oven lights are 12-volt, 5-watt maximum halogen bulbs. They
will come on when the oven door is opened. On double oven
models, both upper and lower lights will come on when either
door is opened. The oven lights will not work during the Self-
Cleaning cycle. When the oven door is closed, press OVEN
LIGHT to turn them on or off.
To Replace:
Before replacing, make sure the oven is off and cool.
1. Disconnect power.
2. Remove glass light cover by grasping the front edge and
pulling away from oven

3. Remove bulb from socket.
4. Replace bulb, replace bulb cover by snapping back into wall.
5. Reconnect power.

Power surge fried Frigidare FEB24S2ASB

The electronic oven control has gone bad. The repair is a lot less expensive than the replacement of the whole stove. Part number is 903091-9051 at about 165.00 retail. You can fix rather than replace whole stove. Hope this helps.

Oven won't work after power cut.

The power outage may have been a result of a power surge or included one. Check the surge protection, breakers or fuses, most likely found inside control panel. Of course turn power off to stove before opening up the panel. Breakers should be pushed all the way off before being pushed to the on position.
