Re: pls help me

There are a few things you need to check. Has it been going before? Is this the first time you have had it going? Is it installed have you switched it all on. Are you in range of one?.

Cant find where to install a wireless card internally to my dell inspiron 2600

You can't install any cards internally as there isn't any room inside. If you want to add wireless capability you'll need a USB wireless adapter which you just plug in to one of the USB ports. This computer also has PCMCIA (card-bus) slots, but that's older technology. USB adapters are much easier to find.

Im using dell laptop winxp, I alredy connected to wifi access yet cant access internet connections. Pls help. Thank you

You can try other options such as these
1. Try disabling or uninstalling your Firewall / Antivirus 2. Uninstall your Wireless Application and use the wireless zero configuration on your computer 3. Try resetting your router to its factory defaults 4. Try hooking up a ethernet cable to the router see if your getting internet access.

Presario V6110US wireless is inop

There are 2 ways you can work this.

- One of course is the External Wireless card you currently have
- Second, is to replace the internal card. Most laptops ahve a VERY easy to getat wireless card, and you can purchase the card on ebay for as low as 9 dollars plus shipping. Find what model laptop you have, and i'll even make a reccomenation, and show you how to access the wifi card.

Aspire 4315 - Driver Problem for "Network Controller" both Win XP/Vista

Most of the time the problem with the network controller is that you have the wrong driver. The easiest way to get the right driver is to get the make and model off the wireless card, then go and download a driver for the card. You may have to download several before finding the right one. Once you've found the right driver, burn it to a disc for future reference. When downloading the drivers save them to the desktop before installing.

Your did not provide any info on which card you have or wish to install; USB, PC Card, or internal mini PCI card.

For mini PCI cards, first you have to open up the D600 laptop and install the Hardware (ensure to connect the antenna cables) then power-up and install the software (drivers and utility).

For USB and PC Cards, follow the device manufacture's recommended steps. Generally, for USB devices, the software (drivers and utility) needs to installed first before the hardware is connected.

If you have successfully installed the hardware and software (driver/utility) you can scan, choose and connect to an available wireless access point or wireless ad-hoc setup. This can be done through the wireless manufacture's utility or from Windows Wireless Zero Configuration utility. If you use the manafucature's utility, Windows Wireless Zero Configuration utility will not work; will not scan or list available wireless network.

Download a program called Netstumbler.
This will show if your wireless is doing anything at all firstly.
If the card is internal then check if the wireless cards antenna's are connected still. Sometimes they are not on there correctly, just sitting there and look like they are connected.
If you can see the access point with this program then check the router to see if the access method hasn't been limited locking out your card from connecting. Normally that is listed in the wireless access list by MAC address etc.

Networking is more complex then most realise, but the info above should help you to start with.
