Question about Hoover F6212-900 / F6215-900 SteamVac Agility Upright Vacuum
I purchased my Hoover Agility in August and it worked GREAT!!! I went back to use it this week, (first week in October) and I cannot get it to suction in the main cleaner. When I attach the upholstery hose, it works great, but I cannot get any suction from the main part of the machine...one person suggested the problem is "hose attachment", and unless they are talking about another attachment I am not aware of, I am not seeing what I need to detach...any ideas! I have a very sick cat and for reasons you can ony imagine, I really need it to work!!! I appreciate any help!!!
We know the suction hose is cracked and we need to replace it. (1) we cannot find the number to order the part, and (2) there are no instructions in the manual as to how to take the machine apart to replace the hose. Has anyone had any success doing this?

We had the same problem. We just fixed it. We took the plastic hood off and put our hand under and realized we had suction but it wasn't picking up water. The only thing we had done was remove the lid to clean some carpet fibers and debris. However, we did not put it back on correctly. We had to make sure we put the plastic top on from top to bottom and that we had it securely in place. Once we did this we were able to pick up water again.

I had the same problem. Lower the handle to the floor and check the black spiral suction hose at the neck of the machine. The lower hose in my Hoover split. Check and see if yours has done the same thing. If so, the lower suction hose will have to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Make sure that the door for the upholstry hose is CLOSED tightly.

I went to use my hoover agility today. I was noticing that the water wasn't being sucked up like usual. I pulled the handle all the way down and noticed that the suction hose was torn in 2 places. I removed all the screws and was able to get to the hose out easily(be careful to not miss a screw. There are some hidden screws). I removed the hose without a problem. I might do a temporary fix with duct tape until I can get a new suction hose delivered. It seemed harder than it actually was. But then again taking things apart is alot easier than putting things back together.

If you have a cat or dog and you use this product, let it be known that yes cleaning filters will help but only momentarily. Why you ask because as soon as the suction is restored, all the hair caught half way in the machine will hit the filter now that there is suction. So clean and turn it on about three times and then use, but keep in mind pet owners, that you may have to do this again because this is what you are shampooing up. I know this because we borrowed ours to a cat owner, and she returned it I kept cleaning the filter over and over. Still poor suction, so I dismantled it which was easy just the top half where I could see all the hair. After that good cleaning worked just as I got out of the box.

My machine has stopped suction on the main unit, but has suction on the hose adapter. When I tilt the neck all the way back, the hose is split around its diameter. Is there a straightforward way to fix this?

I'll bet 10 to 1 it's split suction hose which is most difficult to replace. I've got same problem and spent 2-hours removing several screws but could not get to the upper hose connection which is embedded in the upright component of the machine.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to separate the two halves of the upright section of this machine in order to replace the split suction hose?

Try cleaning out all the filters and emptying it. prem
