There is not supposd to be any E1-02,...THERE IS an E1-20, it is saying you have a prob in your "optics" unit, possibly even the Lser unit...you should probably have a service man determine exact prob.
Have you reseated the drum and toner?
It can be a drum cartridge problem. have you tried that?
You say copy or print, so I am asuming this is multifunction and you do both printing and copying.
1, Have you shook up the toner cartridge well.
After the drum and shaking the toner, I would suspect the transfer assembly, Off hand I cant remember of that machine has a transfer roller, or if there is a channel where there is a hair fine wire running through it.
The wire may have broken, or if its a roller making poor contact.
The laser is also possible. The transfer will be on the right had door assembly.
Take the cartridges out and see if there is anything laying loose in the machine,
what you are describing sounds more like a drum or transfer problem.
sounds very much like a defective transfer. And again, could easily be the drum. Did you have a jam just before this occured? If you had a jam in particular in the right hand door, you broke the transfer wire.
Yeah, i am rambling huh?
