"how to print settings for

If you are talking about one of the TallyCom print servers there is a small blue test button on the side of the box, press this when the print server is connected to a printer that is online. If you press the test button for over 9 seconds the print server will be reset to factory settings. If you want to print from DOS to a network printer as I recall you have two options; 1) Install the printer in Windows and share it, you can then print to the share name 2) Use "NET USE" command in DOS to map a local port to a network port, this is nessesaey if you can not print to LPT1 or COM1 from the application. For help of NET USE go to DOS and use the help options.

Can't print from my mac to my canon mp980 wireless printer

Sounds like when you added xp you inadvertently installed new print driver on server.
Try rolling back driver. But may drop xp from printing.

Best solution network printer to router bypass server. Will require hard wire from printer to router. disconnect from server may need network card for printer.

IOGear multi-function USB print server

The direction of the GMFPSU01C will never tell you that you need to create another printer driver. Because, once you install the MFP Utility of this print server, you will have an automatic Copy1 icon of your printer once you successfully, detected the print server and once you successfully connected to the Printer.

Since, the computer is not detected the printer on the network, here are the things that you may do:

1. Make sure that the printer driver is properly installed in the computer. and make sure that the printer is working when directly connected to the computer.

2. If you can't detect the printer, disable your FireWall or any anti-virus program that's running in your computer.

3. Uninstall/reinstall the MFP Utility. If the CD is not working correctly, use the driver from the Website. Here's the link: http://iogear.com/support/dm/driver/GMFPSU01#display

Connecting printer to SBS (Small Business Server)

You can physically connect the printers to the server and share it from there or leave the printers connected to your computer and have the server connect to them via a Local Port which routes to your computer!! To do the Create the local ports you'll need to 1.) share the printers on your pc 2.) Go to the server and go to printers in control panel 3.)Click on Add a new printer then next 4.)Select Local Printer connected to this computer; De-select Automatically Detect Printer 5.)Select Create new port and select Local Port 6.)In the enter a port name, enter the full network path to the printer i.e. \\your-pc-name\printer-share-name click ok 7.) Select the drivers for that specific printer(if its not there click on have disk then browse to the drivers to install them) 8.) Continue through the installation until finish) 9.) Repeat steps for additional printers Keep in mind that your computer still needs to be on! You can check to see if your printer support a network card to make them fully network printer you can add them to the server this way and only the server would need to be on! Or you can also get a print server(Device that makes regular printers into network printers). Now when it comes to the scanning, i don't know of any way to share a scanner with just windows alone, but there are third party software that allows you to do that Check out http://www.remote-scan.com/ There are also printers that sorta do the scanners sharing by automatically scanning and putting files in a designated area on the network! Hope this was helpful regards, babb
