Problem for Acer Aspire E360 PC Desktop
Reformated: not detecting card readers now
I recently ended up reformatting my Acer E360 using the recovery disc, due to a virus. Now that I have things up and running again, and generally how I want them, I noticed that it is no longer detecting my SD card (from my camera), or any of the built in card readers. I've tried downloading the drivers for the 9 in 1 card reader, but that didn't seem to work.
Also, this may or may not be related; before reformatting my headset worked fine, now only the Mic works, I can't get headphones to work in the same port that I had them pluged into before.
Any help would be great, thanks.

- Thanks for the advice. I shut down the computer and pulled the RAM out, put it back in, and blew all the dust out of the inside as well. When I turned it back on, all the card readers loaded, not sure what happened there, but at least it works now and I can get my pictures off my SD card.Clarification Request

Running the recover disk does not kill off the virus, (Virus's). Windows system restore must be turned off first. If you left it on the virus will load when windows starts up. Some virus sit in memory. Best to shut down the system. Pull the power cord from the power supply & pull your memory. Wait a few seconds & re-incert the memory, plug the power cord back in, than run your recovery disk. After you run the disks update windows. Re-boot as needed.

This will clean windows registry. Install the SD driver software & audio driver software. (You may not need to. Windows update service might list the driver software for you to download).
