Sorry, but I've never heard of a contitwister wet/dry vac. If you can give me a better name and model I might be able to help, but I'm afraid the one you've listed is not valid.

Testimonial: "that is the correct name and model! the only extra detail is that it's 1600 watt, I think it may be only made in South Africa. most of you guys are overseas, arn't you? thanks anyway.."

SOURCE: I,m trying to open the motor casing on a Conti Twister wet/dry vacuume cleaner, I have already done the obvious, removed the 4 screws,it only opens the base where the filter is. but cannot find HOW to

Maybe under the switch button, or even the height adjuster underneath.

Testimonial: "there is no height adjuster. on this vacuum, the motor is on the top. there is nothing under the on/off button...is there any way I can post a picture of the thing on this site? that might help you guys see my problem more clearly"

Broken power cord inside Conti Twister vacuume. I cannot find how to open the motor to get at the broken cord.

without seeing it i can only guess.... but most motors require taking all the screws out of the vac and prying the halfs apart... sometimes you can get away with just doing the panel at the bottom by the hinge where the handle pivots( depending on model.... to get the motor itself apart.... if there arent any screws to take out tben youre prettymuch out of luck.... you need to see where its held togethrr and undo it.

The wiring for the power head is broken somewhere in the hose. Where can I find a replacement hose for FM732H?

You can buy a second hand one on the internet for parts or contact the company if you still have a warranty, perhaps they can replace the whole thing or return the whole thing if you still have a receipt.

Dyson dc 15 brush roll not spinning. motor is good, upper switch is good.

Open the right side of the vacuum with a hex head screw driver. There are 4 screws. Inside you will find a circuit board.
1. Make sure the varistor (S20K150) is not blown, these models seem to have an issue with this. It is a flat blue "quarter" looking component near the top edge of the circuit board.
2. At the bottom of the circuit board are two white wires connected via push on connectors. Remove these from the circuit board by sliding them away from the circuit board. Power on the vacuum and engage the drive button. If the lower motor still does not engage check step 3.
3. A blue and yellow wire runs off the bottom end of the circuit board. These are the wires powering the lower motor. Check continuity with a multimeter and make sure they are not broken. I have seen where these wires will break as they run through the housing of the vacuum. If they are broken, replace them with any wire of the same gauge.

Sweeper wont pick anything up. When the motor runs it sounds like the belt is broke, but it is not. It revs real high. There are no clogs and the filters are clean. I have no idea what it is, and I...

to me it sounds like a blockage?having worked on these machines for so long, when the motor runs high as you say then its under pressure im not convinced you have cleared the blockage take another look ,i use a old wire coathanger straightened out to push the rubbish out,if that fails,go out and buy yourself a new machine you derseve it and you will be surprised at what the new machine can do..adrian,,,,

I have fantom FM741H It sadenly stop working. I checked plugs, circuitbraker. They are Ok. What is possible problem? Thanks

I have the same sweeper as you. I have had this sweeper over 10 years. I purchased it from HSN. Model fm741h. Ok here we go. I paid 299. for it 10 years ago. It worked perfectly. Picked up all sorts of things. It stopped working about 5 years ago. I kept it hoping I could get someone to go over it with a fine tooth comb in my area. No one worked on them. So I still kept it. Just today 09/4/2010 I was looking at it. I decided to start taking the whole unit apart. I come to find out all the filters are clogged. I have never replaced them or the belt. The belt was fine, the motor runs, but its just not picking up anything. So inside the canister was caked with dirt. I mean literally DIRT. Inside the part that spins is another filter. I checked the prices on those. Anywhere between 23.00 up to 50.00. So I took a toothbrush and ran it under hot water. Scaped off all the dirt, let it dry and presto....I have my TWISTER back. YIPPY!!! I can't see spending that much on a filter when all you have to do is scrape the dirt off of it. Works perfectly. Now that I know what to do....I'm a happy camper.

Fantom twister wont work light is on

When you say, "just stopped", did the MOTOR stop operating and there's no sound from it at all? Or, is the motor still working or sounds like it does, and it stopped vacumning?

If the MOTOR stopped, most likely there is a short somewhere in the connection at the motor. Think 'repair shop'.
If the motor still runs and there's no VACUMN ACTION, think Roller Brush which operates by virtue of a rubber belt. Turn the machine on its side and turn it ON, keeping FINGERS !AWAY! from the roller area. If the Roller Brush is not moving it may be that the belt has slipped off or is broken or simply too loose to turn the Roller. Also sometimes debris such as strings, long hair, carpet strands/fibers will become wrapped around the roller especially next to the roller bearing/brace points, to the point of binding so tightly that the roller will no longer be able to actually roll which would now prevent it from 'Vacumning' or sweeping dirt and such up into the vortex of the vacumn chamber. In which case, !!UNPLUG!! the machine, use small scissors to cut away the material wrapped around the roller paying particular attention to the brace point areas.

Brushes don't go around

The power wire may have slipped off inside.

take apart the unit at the top (Behind the cleaning fluid container) Inside there is a wire coming up from the motor at the bottom of the unit. This can come unlpugged no longer powering the scrub brushes. Simply slip the wire back on the plug.

To open: remove all visible screws from top half of machine. Remove the rubber mode dial by pulling off, and remove screw behind that. Pull the front off, and the power plugs are located right on the inside of the machine by the mode dial

Fantom Twister

On my fantom cylone I use a 2 foot wire with small hook. Open bottom and push wire up the vacuum channels. There is also a channel that goes to the brush. Check for suction at hose. If none then your one of your channels going up are blocked. If you have suction at hose but none at floor brush then channel to floor brush is plugged.
