Question about HP Projector Accessories
My DLP projector HP vp6110 is not working. When i powered on the fan and the lamp is working. But there is no menu or color screen from the projector.Only the white light is being projected. The warning lights for both high temp and bad bulb is off.
It is quite easy to reset the lamp timer nd remove the prompt.
Start up the Projector and hold down the right and left scroll buttons on your remote and then press Menu.
This will reset the timer.

I also had this issue - followed the On, Input, Undo, Left, Enter, Right, On button sequence several times. Then I decided to push them in that sequence very quickly and it worked. The lamp LED on the front changed to green and the projector started up. So the button sequence they provide in the manual works, you just have to push them in rapid succession. Hope that helps.

Does the status light stay on red? If it does then the lamp timer has exspired and will not let the projector turn back on until it is reset, at which time you should replace the lamp. To reset the timer you need the remote control, with the unit plugged in in standby mode hold down the power off button for 30 to 45 seconds until the status light goes off.

if the new lamp doesn't have a problem, then it's not the ballast, it's just a bad bulb. especially if you didn't get it from infocus. the cheaper lamps don't last long. you get what you pay for.
