The easiest way to wrestle a spring on a kickstand is to hook one side on then get a strong plastic zip tie, fasten it into a circle and grab the other end of the spring with it and pull the spring up and over the retaining peg.. a ZIP tie not a twist tie ok?....good luck to you...Tim
