Anti-spyware does not clear after loading updates. Error loading exclusion databse

If you want to get rid of spy-ware, I would suggest downloading Spybot and Ad-Aware. Install these, update them and then scan your PC and remove anything they find. These tend to work much better than software you can purchase. Experts use both of these.

Do you have Norton Anti-Virus on your PC.

8 out of 10 computers have Norton Anti-Virus installed on their PC. Or you getting message to tell you to update your subscription? If so read on.

Have you notice that your PC is slowing down, or you getting blue screens, is your PC slow to boot, those your PC shutdown really slow. Are you getting pop-ups stating that your PC is infected. These are all symptoms of an out of date Norton Ant-Virus subscription. Even if you have have a current Norton Anti-Virus subscription you may still be infected.

OK, so here is how to fix your PC. First if you do not want to use Norton Anti-Virus anymore you need to remove it. You need to remove it from the control panel add/remove programs. You also need to get the Norton removal tool from Symantec, which makes Norton Anti-Virus. Watch my video from more details. Click here

So now your PC should be running better than before. Remember once Norton Anti-Virus is removed you need to scan it for viruses and then protect it. I recommend and personal use Avast, it is Free for home users and it simply works. Avast does not slow down your computer and it updates everyday with a visual and audio indicators. What more could you ask for. I use Malwarebyte's Anti-Mal ware on-line protection in conjunction with Avast for total protection. You can get that here. Try the free version first and it will get all those infections that Norton Anti-Virus failed to protect. Then upgrade to the Pro version if you need it. Here is the site http://www.malwarebytes.org/.

So now your PC is virus free and protected. What else can you do. I would get Ccleaner from www.ccleaner.com, this is also a free utility that I use. It removes all those temp files and other junk that is slowing down your PC. I do not recommend any registry programs. If you have any those on your PC. You need to remove them, they do not work.

The last thing you need to get is to de-frag your hard drive. I use this one. It is also Free so get it. Click here.

So now you are done and your PC should be a lot faster and better. However if you are still having issues you need to reload your whole operating system. Most people do not have the original CD so you will have to get a professional to do this. If you need help with that you can visit my site at www.adjustservices.com.

I hope this tip was helpful.

How to remove Trojan JS/Exploit.CP

The first thing that you should do is to get rid of any malware on your PC. You should download and install Malwarebytes, it is a very powerful free anti-malware program that does just what it says it does, remove malware and it does it exceptionally well. You can download Malwarebytes from here;

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol

After you have installed Malwarebytes update it by selecting the update tab and then check for updates, after you have updated Malwarebytes then select the scanner tab and then run a Full scan for the first scan.

You should run a quick scan with Malwarebytes whenever you are done using the internet, update it first then run a quick scan, The free edition of Malwarebytes does not auto-update or auto-scan you have to do it manually, but that is really trivial compared to how well this program works. If any malware shows up running a quick scan, then run a full scan after the quick scan completes, that way you purge it out of your PC completely.

Also, if your security program, anti-spyware/anti-virus, program is not protecting your system very well then you should download and install AVG-Free Edition, this is another very good program that does what it is supposed to do, remove spy-ware, viruses, and worms. You can download AVG-Free from here;

http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=mncol

You can set when AVG will check for updates, and when to do a system scan in tools, advanced settings, schedules. Usually you would want to set it up to run when the PC is not being used (usually in the middle of the night).

Also, you should not have more than one anti-virus/anti-spy-ware program installed on your PC or it may cause a conflict and use up resources unnecessarily, If your security is not protecting your PC remove it from your PC by going into add or remove programs in the control panel.

Also, you should know that malware and spyware/viruses are not the same, AVG does not remove malware, and Malwarebytes does not remove spy-ware, viruses, or worms.

You can also help protect your PC from connecting to known rogue web sites by downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, it does not scan for anything and it does not remove anything, it only prevents you internet browser from connecting to known rogue web sites. You can download it from here;

http://download.cnet.com/SpywareBlaster/3000-8022_4-10196637.html?tag=mncol

Make sure that you update and enable all security in SpywareBlaster. Check for updates about once a month, and be sure that you enable the new updates.

Can't check for updates for Anti Virus with Spy Sweeper - get DNS error - cannot locate server, and error code disp0201. I also re-directed to another web page when I try to update definitions or look for...

I would suspect your computer has a virus or has spyware or malware that is causing this. Restart your computer in Safe Mode and run Webroot and your other security software. If they find nothing then restart your computer and then go online and run this free scan. http://us.trendmicro.com/us/housecall/

The Best Free PC Security

Free PC Security: OS Microsoft Windows 2,000, XP, 2003, Vista, 7

These are the best free security programs that I have found that actually do get rid of mal-ware, spy-ware, viruses, and worms for free. If your security program is not protecting your system very well, or it is an older paid for version that is now out of date and will not update any longer unless you purchase the new version, then you might do well to download and install these very powerful and efficient security programs.

You should only have one anti-virus/anti-spy-ware program installed and running on your PC or a conflict can occur, besides the fact that there would be an un-necessary use of the system resources. If you remove your old security program be sure to remove it from the add and remove programs in the control panel (some security programs have to be disabled before they can be removed). Also mal-ware is not the same as viruses, spy-ware, or worms. Malwarebytes will not remove any viruses, spy-ware, or worms, and AVG will not remove any mal-ware either.

AVG-Free Edition will automatically update itself and run security scans, it can be set from the AVG control panel in tools, advanced settings, schedules. You should set up the schedule so that it will update and scan at a time when the PC is not in use (usually during the middle of the night).

Also be sure that the Microsoft auto-update is not scheduled to run at the same time that you scheduled AVG to update or run a scan, if it is then change the Microsoft auto-update settings to something that will not run at the same time that AVG runs, for example (evryday 9:00 a.m., every Sunday 9:00 a.m., etc.). You can change the Microsoft auto-update settings in control panel, auto-updates.

Malwarebytes is the best free anti mal-ware program that I have found, the free edition will not auto-update or auto-scan and these functions must be manually done, but that is trivial compared to the protection that this program provides. After Malwarebytes has been installed, update it from the update tab and then check for any updates, after any updates then run a scan from the scanner tab, and then select a Full scan for the first time.

If you are using Vista right click on Malwrebytes and select Run As Administrator.

To fully protect your PC, Malwarebytes should be ran anytime that you close your web browser and are done using the internet, you should run a quick scan and if any malware is found then you should also run a full scan to be sure that the malware has been completely purged from your entire PC.

You can also protect your PC from known rogue web sites by downloading and installing SpywareBlaster, it does not scan for anything, and it does not remove anything, SpywareBlaster will prevent your internet explorer from connecting to known restricted, harmful, or rogue web sites for an added layer of protection.

Download AVG-Free Edition from here;

http://download.cnet.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=mncol

Download Malwarebytes from here;

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol

Download SpywareBlaster from here;

http://download.cnet.com/SpywareBlaster/3000-8022_4-10196637.html?tag=mncol

These security programs will do a very good job at protecting your PC from internet threats. I used to have to fight these threats all the time to get rid of them, on either friends or family if not my own PC, but ever since I have installed these three programs on my system, and that of all my friends and family, it has actually become quite boring and I almost miss the battles.

Please completley remove the norton security from my computer...trying to run something comcst says you need to do something to rmove it...please do asap ...thank you

Go into Control Panel, then Add/Remove Programs. Wait for the list of all programs to load up.

Go down through the list and look for Norton Internet Security. Remove it. It will take a very long time, sometimes 1/2 hour or more depending on speed of computer. Reboot the computer after it has been removed, especially if/when it asks you to reboot after the process.

After rebooting, go back into Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs. Look for Symantec or Norton's Live Update, remove that as well. Also remove any other Symantec/Norton Anti-Virus or Internet Security programs as well. Then reboot the computer again.

Your computer should be much, much faster now. So now you need a new Anti-Virus program...

I've found in my experience that Norton and McAfee do more damage to some computers than good, besides the fact that they are severely over-priced. I would NEVER install either Norton (Symantec) or McAfee on anyone's computer. Matter of fact, I just had to remove Norton 2008 from a lady's computer today, an old Dell 2400 because her system was too old and slow to run new Norton.

My suggestions for much better anti-virus would be...

- Kaspersky Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- Trend Micro PC-Cillin Anti-Virus (search for it on Google, etc)

- AVG Free Anti-Virus at http://free.grisoft.com, they also have more elaborate versions with more protection for a cost.

I personally use AVG on my computers, and my family does as well. It's very effective and gets out viruses that even Norton cannot remove.
